We are up on the North Shore.
Beautiful day, milepost 15. of Grandmas Marathon.
Yeah.
Right in front of the Gitche Gumee We've been married for 50 and we've been doing this for 20 we started this with a group called the Empty Nesters.
And we all had our youngest chil leave home the same year.
Each couple chose an activity fo and we chose to volunteer for Gr Marathon, thought we do it once and we thought we were close to but now our granddaughters start helping.
It's fun watching the g Now, when they come, we warn the what's going to happen, You're going to be pressed up against the truck.
You gotta you gotta look before before you walk out into the str you better be careful because it's a mob, a sea of hum They can't stop for you.
Banana!
It's invigorating to see the runners come by and we know that are running so we can encou too, make some noise for them.
Everybody arrives about 5:00, The water truck comes along and fills our buckets or barrels with water, and we st pouring water in the cups.
Yeah.
Everybody kind of knows what they gotta do You see something needs to be do you just do it.
We have a lot of Grandmas Marathon shirts.
Yes.
We have quite a collection.
Every color.
We hope, what color is it going this year?
They've gotta be running out of And we'll keep doing it We're pa on to the next generations.
Yeah.
We see no end in sight.
