This building was the Duluth Cathedral, which was built in 1896.
So the organ was installed a couple years later.
One of the more interesting things was it was actually just ordered from a catalog, and they shipped it here and somebody local installed it.
They just said, we like this particular organ.
And and remarkably, it worked beautiful in this space.
It's just like it was made for the acoustics of this, at that time, at this church.
There'd be 16ft pipes in it.
I think there's, around 1300 some pipes.
The organ really has quite a survivor story about it, because, you know, this, was the Duluth Cathedral, And then in the 80s, membership had really dwindled.
And, the diocese was considering closing it.
And, the organist at the time, Joan Connolly, got people together and saved this space, bought it from the diocese for a dollar, and they saved it because of the organ, because of its significance.
