Are you in a good mood today?
Yeah.
My name is Kelli.
This is Bam Bam, the yellow-billed hornbill.
And we're going to be talking about our luminary events.
So Bam Bam is a yellow-billed hornbill.
He is.
Can you come back up here Bam?
And show?
Good boy.
So Bam is one of the smallest hornbill species out there.
He's very talkative, as you can probably hear.
He is one of our older birds here at the zoo.
So the luminary event is, a really exciting event that we're trying for the first time this year.
And part of that includes, guests getting to meet some of our animals.
And one of those animals is Bam Bam.
You may have heard that we do behind-the-scenes here, tours here at the zoo.
This is going to be a little bit of a truncated version of that.
So, folks, could book a feeding tour where they come in for a half an hour.
It's for up to six people.
You could feed Bam!
And I understand there are going to be several other animals in our nocturnal walk through that will be available as well.
We are going to have about a thousand ice luminaries out on ground, as well as some kind of paper bag luminaries throughout That is coming up on February 13th and will run through the 22nd.
We're going to have a lot of really fun add ons.
So we're going to include some, charcuterie and champagne for Galentine's and Valentine's.
We're going to be having a college night on the Monday of that.
During the run, we're also going to be having family nights on the 18th and 19th of February.
You can learn more or book your visit at LSzoo.org.
Guests will get to feed him some mealworms, which are his favorite food in the entire world.
Through the mesh, which he'll be very excited about because that combines his two favorite things --mealworms and meeting new people.
