It re it's larger than nine states in the union and it is diverse like any state in the union.
I was elected four years ago by a slim margin and reelected two years ago by a 23,000% increase.
Thank you for noticing how hard I have tried to work across the aisle um on divided government.
I was able to bring millions of bonding and um general fund dollars to back to the district to make our way of life more affordable.
There are exciting things happening in the district.
I have helped support a mini housing boom with state funds and mining tax funds from the ILRB.
Grand Marray, Two Harbors, Elely Tower have new multi-unit housing facilities, apartments being built, and we're just getting started.
Being born and raised in Elely, Minnesota has given me local knowledge of our differing communities.
Sometimes this helps when knowing who to talk to and when.
We are a rural communities and we love it.
My time in the legislature has given me insight how to how the state can make our lives uh uh various and various issues um and how I've applied it.
My work on the trails will be noticed for years to come not only for the tourists but for those of us who call this home.
We get to go out and enjoy the outdoors on worldclass trails without added tax expenses.
Our medical needs are always on my mind.
Small hospitals need all the revenue it can get.
This is why I supported and will continue to support 340B legislation.
It is imperative that we pass a bill to extend the sunset uh date of the 340B program.
Our property taxes have been on the rise and I plan on slowing that down and eliminating programs that have raised taxes, thereby lowering them.
The administration has neglected fraud for too long.
Once elected, we must work together to stop it.
We know it exists.
We need to implement plans that punish the people who get caught with prison time and paying back what they took.
I know together we can do it.
In closing, I appreciate the past support and welcome new supporters.
I will always work to get the most for District 3A and will work to keep taxes down and to stop fraud.
Please vote Roger J. Scraba hon or before November 3rd.
Thank you.
Hello, I'm Aaron Kenya.
Kenia rhymes with mania and I am running for the Minnesota House 3A seat.
I come from a strong union household and I've worked for 23 years as a law enforcement officer before joining the Forest Service and recently retiring in Elely.
Uh I'm still a wildland firefighter.
I have a family and my two daughters just graduated college.
So we're empty nesters, Roxan and I. And we live in Lake Vermillion.
I'm known as the leader that listens.
So the 3A district is the largest, most rural district in the Minnesota.
There's about three people per square mile.
It goes from Grand Portage over to International Falls and it has uh the Boundary Waters is what it's known for.
the um I really find it to be an honor to serve and I've knocked on over 1,600 doors talking to people in the district and really hearing what they have.
And what they tell me over and over is that my experience and my resume is really what we need up here in the Northland.
The other thing is balancing a healthy environment and jobs.
And I feel that these are not incompatible and that by working together we can get that done.
But I also hear that we're in an economic crisis that the price of gas, groceries, and high taxes are what really has people concerned and people are struggling and they want a leader who can focus on the issues.
So the main issues I hear are health care concerns about clinics and hospitals closing.
They want to extend the cap on prescription drug prices to keep drug prices low.
And then also reimbursements to ensure that our medical providers are properly reimbursed.
Fraud is an issue I take very seriously.
I hear about it frequently and fraud and corruption at all levels is unacceptable.
With my background in law enforcement, that's an experience I can take down to St.
Paul, ensure that we're properly funding and staffing the Office of Inspector General and that we're updating software and other ways in which we can focus on fraud before it happens.
And let's stop that and prevent that from happening in the future.
And divisiveness, that's the one thing that I was most surprised about, but hear um about often.
and they want us to turn the temperature down out there and that's something I can bring to the state capital.
I've been working really hard to get out and meet voters to earn your vote and I appreciate your support on or before November 3rd.
Thank you.
