I'm running for Minnesota House District 8B.
That's central Duth and east sides, Kenwood, Woodland, Lakeside.
That's the district that this covers.
I've been talking to a lot of people on the campaign trail, both businesses and health and human services and regular people.
And I get a lot of the same thing.
We're concerned about the fraud that's happened in the state and for businesses for government services infrastructure and health and human services.
They need more money.
Everybody needs more money at all the different levels of government.
But I'm also talking to the taxpayers and they need to have tax relief.
They are taxed to the hilt and we can't tax them more.
So what are my plans?
How am I going to fund everything that we have now and fund increases?
Well, let me talk about that.
First of all, we have to tackle fraud.
And what we have to do is use advanced systems and AI to tackle fraud.
We can look for patterns for current fraud, future fraud, and past fraud.
My experience as a software developer for 30 years will help with this endeavor.
I have the education.
out of the experience to bring that to bear.
We also need to look at our existing systems to see if there's efficiencies we can use and we can use AI for that too and I can help with that.
We can make things lean and mean or or not at all because I know a lot of government agencies have been doing a lot of this on their own.
But we need to look at it and see if there is some potential there.
We also need to take a look at our permits and regulations and see if we're overregulating, over permitting, unfunded mandates, get rid of those.
Make it a streamlined approach.
We need to get businesses here.
We need to get people to be able to build affordable houses without the ownerous tasks of having all of the regulations and permits that they need to do to get it here.
We can't admit the environment, but we can't have it take 6 months to 20 years to get a mine going here.
And finally, we need to get many lines of businesses here.
We need to get mining going.
We're the state with the second most amount of natural resources after Alaska.
And we have the potential here.
And a a portion of that goes to education.
So, we need to be able to figure out if we can get mining here safe for the environment.
And we have helium, nickel, copper, uh, tachinite.
We have lots of different mines we can do here.
And finally, we need to get different businesses here.
We need to get milling here.
We need to get entertainment here.
Lots of different lines.
And how do we do that?
We get shovel ready areas.
We become an energy state.
We make it easy for people to come here and invest here and build here.
Now, we've had decades of the same leadership here in Duth and in Minnesota.
And we need some diversity here.
We need a fresh approach.
We need diversity ideas, approach, education, and experience.
And that's what I will bring to the table.
I bring business experience.
I bring educational experience.
I know how to run projects, get them to the end result and on time and in budget.
We can turn Minnesota into a powerhouse.
But we have to work together.
I've given you the plans I have to try to get this uh the funding we need.
We need to hear the plans from the other candidates, too, and then figure out who you're going to vote for based on those plans.
You can promise everything, but unless you have a plan for how to fund it, you will get nothing from those people.
And and I don't think taking a group of people and demonizing them and saying, "We're going to tax these people because they're not like us," is not the answer.
We need to work together.
We're all citizens of the United States of Minnesota, and we need to work together to make Minnesota the powerhouse it can become.
So, I'm looking for your vote.
Please vote for me.
November 3rd, Sean Savila, Minnesota House District 8B.
I really appreciate it and thank you.
