They plan their vacations just to be here.
I'm Lee Baker, I'm a volunteer with Saint John's United Church of Christ on Madeline Island.
And I also serve on the church council We are very excited to preview Saint John's United Church of Christ Community Bazaar.
It's happening this coming Thursday, and it's just one great big party.
it's our 100th year.
We're very excited about that.
what's exciting is to get and see what new things we have and what to do with them.
So we have a big tent for the boats and for the machinery and, lawn lawnmowers and stuff.
And then we have what we call the household tent.
It's revenue that we use for our outreach programs, for our mission initiatives.
And it serves not just the church, but it serves our whole community.
The population in the in the winter time, is about 400 people.
And then it explodes in the summer and goes up to 3000, maybe 4000.
I have great respect for the people who are working here on this island and making ends meet.
Everybody gets in line to start on Thursday morning at 10:00, people can come early.
They can have a cup of coffee, they can have a homemade, cinnamon roll.
Being involved in this means everything to me.
It's it's a privilege.
It's an honor.
And it's fun.
