It's a collaboration between the Bong Museum and the Duluth DAR group.
That's the Daughters of the American Revolution.
My name is Brianna, and I am the director of collections and exhibits at the Richard Bong Veterans Museum in Superior, Wisconsin.
This is a traveling exhibit that's going all across the country talking about the Revolutionary War and, commemorating our 250th birthday this year.
(patriotic music) You know what I really like about this exhibit?
It's not the big names that you would expect.
It's not Washington and Lafayette.
And, it is the, the ordinary, everyday people that contributed to the war effort.
I'm extremely excited to see a number of women showcased here and how they contributed to the Revolutionary War.
Because that's not often talked about.
Sarah Osborn Benjamin, in that container they show, she brought bread and beef and, coffee to the soldiers.
And Washington said, aren't you afraid of the cannonballs?
And she said, she didn't want the soldiers to die.
hungry.
I think the most important thing about this exhibition is I hope it inspires people to learn more about their family and therefore learn more about themselves.
So we don't repeat the same mistakes.
